Getting there by train
- At New York Penn Station, look for NJ Transit trains showing SEC on the departure boards. Those stop at Secaucus Junction.
- Ride to Secaucus Junction and follow the signs for the Meadowlands Rail Line. Staff hand out a wristband there (and at Hoboken) that you need to board the train home.
- Take the Meadowlands Rail Line to Meadowlands station. The ride takes about 10 minutes, and the station is by the stadium.
- The Meadowlands shuttle runs only for events expected to draw more than 50,000 people. It starts a few hours before kickoff: the Jets say three or more hours before day games.
- Before the game, trains leave Secaucus about every 10 to 20 minutes. The start time changes with each event, so check NJ Transit's event timetable for your game.
- From Hoboken: before weekend NFL and college games there are a few direct trains to the stadium. Otherwise, take a train from Hoboken to Secaucus Junction and change there.
- Leave yourself extra time. Tens of thousands of fans use the same shuttle, so expect lines at Secaucus.
Giants vs. Commanders, Thursday, November 12
NJ Transit is running reduced Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line service between Newark and Secaucus through Saturday, November 14, while the new Portal North Bridge is put into service. The regular schedule is set to return on Sunday, November 15, if safety testing is done. For this game NJ Transit suggests riding PATH from 33 St to Hoboken, then any Main, Bergen County, Port Jervis or Pascack Valley Line train to Secaucus Junction. Stadium trains leave Secaucus from 4:53 pm, and the last one leaves at 9:10 pm. PATH doesn't accept NJ Transit tickets for this game.
Tickets
- Buy a round-trip ticket to Meadowlands Station in advance, in the NJ Transit app or at a ticket machine. NJ Transit says this helps you skip long lines.
- Event tickets in the app activate on their own on the day of the event.
- Your wristband is your proof of a ticket for the ride back. Only riders with wristbands can board at Secaucus and at Meadowlands.
- After the game, tickets are sold only in the app or from a ticket agent, cashless only.
Bus option: the 351 from Port Authority
Coach USA runs the 351 Meadowlands Express from the Port Authority Bus Terminal on game days. Coach USA says buses start about three hours before kickoff, and they run back for about an hour after the game, from Lot K at the stadium. For the Nov 12 game, buses leave from the street on 41 St between 8 and 9 Av. Coach USA posts which games it serves and the boarding gate for each one, so check its 351 page for your game.
Going home after the game
- After the game, trains leave Meadowlands at least every 15 minutes and keep running until the crowds are gone.
- There's often a long line. NJ Transit says the closer you are to the front, the shorter the wait. Waiting until most of the crowd has left is a calmer option.
- At Secaucus Junction, change to a train for New York Penn Station, or to Hoboken.
- A few of the last trains from Meadowlands go straight to Hoboken.
- The 351 bus back to Port Authority leaves from Lot K and runs for about an hour after the game.
Accessibility

- Waiting to buy the return ticket after the game. Buy the round trip before you go.
- Bringing a regular bag. MetLife Stadium allows one clear bag up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, a small clutch up to 4.5 x 6.5 inches, or a one-gallon clear freezer bag.
