Getting to TD Garden by T
TD Garden sits right above North Station, so the T takes you almost to the door. Here is which line to take from where you are, and how to get home after the game or show.
Quick answer: Take the Orange Line or the Green Line to North Station and head upstairs. Per the MBTA, TD Garden is just above the station, and Commuter Rail trains from north of Boston arrive right below it. Orange Line trains come about every 4-7 minutes on weekdays. Per the MBTA, the last Orange and Green Line trains leave North Station around 12:45 am, and the fall 2026 schedule runs later on Friday and Saturday nights.
From North Station into TD Garden
Per the MBTA, here is how to reach the arena from each part of North Station:
- Orange Line or Green Line. Head upstairs and cross Causeway Street to enter the arena. Or take the commuter passageway under Causeway Street and head upstairs.
- Commuter Rail. The platforms are below the concourse. Head upstairs to enter the arena.
The MBTA's station data also lists a TD Garden passageway entrance with an elevator. Check the North Station page for elevator status before you go.
Getting to North Station from around Boston
| From | How | Ride |
|---|---|---|
| South Station | Red Line toward Alewife to Park Street, then a Green Line train toward Union Square or Medford/Tufts | About 3-4 min, then about 7 min |
| Back Bay | Orange Line toward Oak Grove | About 8 min |
| Downtown Crossing | Orange Line toward Oak Grove | About 4 min |
| Park Street | Green Line toward Union Square or Medford/Tufts | About 7 min |
| Copley | Green Line toward Union Square or Medford/Tufts | About 14 min |
| Kenmore | Green Line D toward Union Square | About 20 min |
| Airport station (Logan) | Blue Line toward Bowdoin to State, then Orange Line toward Oak Grove | About 5-6 min, then about 2 min |
| Harvard | Red Line toward Ashmont or Braintree to Park Street, then the Green Line | About 10 min, then about 7 min |
Ride times are from the fall 2026 schedule and don't include the wait or the transfer. On the Green Line, board a D train toward Union Square or an E train toward Medford/Tufts. Most B and C trains end at Government Center and don't reach North Station. Flying in? Start with the Logan Airport guide to reach Airport station.
How often trains run at North Station
