The Game at Fenway: kickoff, tickets and bags
- Kickoff: 3:30 pm on Saturday, November 21, 2026, on ESPNU, per Harvard Athletics and Yale Athletics. Harvard is the home team. It's the first time The Game has been at Fenway Park since 2018.
- Where: Fenway Park, 4 Jersey Street, Boston.
- Tickets: Sold through Fenway Park and the Boston Red Sox. Harvard suggests the MLB Ballpark app for your digital tickets.

- From Kenmore, use the Fenway Park, Commonwealth Ave exit. Per the Red Sox, turn left on Commonwealth Ave, then left on Brookline Ave. The park is just over the bridge.
- E trains don't go to Kenmore or Fenway. If you board one, change to a B, C or D train at Park Street, Boylston, Arlington or Copley.
- Lansdowne, formerly Yawkey, is across the street from the park, per the Red Sox. It's a Commuter Rail station, not a subway stop, and on Saturdays trains stop there only about every 2 hours.
- Step-free access. MBTA data lists Kenmore, Fenway and Lansdowne as accessible. Hynes Convention Center isn't. At the park, the Red Sox say only Gates B and D have elevators. For accessible seating, Harvard says to call Fenway Park at 877-733-7699.

By Commuter Rail. Framingham/Worcester Line trains run from South Station to Lansdowne in about 10-11 minutes, with a stop at Back Bay. On Saturdays they leave about every 2 hours. Before the game on November 21:
| Leaves South Station | Leaves Back Bay | Arrives Lansdowne |
|---|---|---|
| 11:00 am | 11:07 am | 11:11 am |
| 1:00 pm | 1:07 pm | 1:11 pm |
| 3:00 pm | 3:07 pm | 3:11 pm |
The 3:00 pm train gets to Lansdowne 19 minutes before kickoff, which leaves little time to get through the gates. Buy your ticket before you board: tap-to-pay doesn't work on the Commuter Rail.
From Back Bay
- By Green Line. Walk about 5 minutes up Dartmouth Street to Copley station. Take a Green Line B, C or D train 2 stops to Kenmore, about 5-6 minutes, then walk about 7-8 minutes.
- By Commuter Rail. If a Framingham/Worcester Line train is leaving soon, Lansdowne is the next stop, about 4 minutes away. Game-day times are in the table above.
- On foot. Walking from Back Bay to the park takes about 28 minutes.
See Back Bay Station to Fenway Park.
From North Station
- Take a Green Line D train toward Riverside straight to Kenmore, about 20 minutes. On Saturdays, D trains leave North Station about every 9-10 minutes.
- E trains toward Heath Street don't go to Kenmore. If you get on one, change at Copley.

From New Haven by Amtrak
Amtrak's Northeast Regional and Acela trains run from New Haven Union Station to Boston. Get off at Back Bay, the stop before South Station. It's closer to Fenway Park. On Amtrak's schedule for Saturday, November 21, these trains reach Back Bay before kickoff:
| Train | Leaves New Haven | Arrives Back Bay |
|---|---|---|
| Northeast Regional 66 | 7:39 am | 10:14 am |
| Northeast Regional 150 | 8:44 am | 11:11 am |
| Northeast Regional 160 | 10:57 am | 1:30 pm |
| Acela 2252 | 11:35 am | 1:37 pm |
| Northeast Regional 162 | 11:47 am | 2:16 pm |
The next train, Acela 2254 at 12:54 pm, reaches Back Bay at 3:07 pm. That's cutting it close for a 3:30 pm kickoff. From Back Bay, take the Green Line from Copley, as above. Check fares and buy tickets on amtrak.com.
Going back the same night. The last trains to New Haven leave early:
| Train | Leaves Back Bay | Arrives New Haven |

- From Kenmore, the Green Line to Copley takes about 6 minutes, and Back Bay is about a 5-minute walk from Copley.
- Staying over? On Sunday, November 22, the first train to New Haven leaves South Station at 6:35 am and Back Bay at 6:40 am.
MBTA service changes that weekend
As of October 29, 2026, the MBTA has not posted any planned work on the Green Line or the Framingham/Worcester Line for November 21-22. Two things to know:
- Red Line shuttle south of Broadway. From Friday, November 20 to Sunday, November 22, shuttle buses replace Red Line trains between Broadway and North Quincy for switch and rail work. Harvard, Park Street and South Station aren't affected. Coming from Quincy or Braintree? The MBTA says to allow at least 50 extra minutes on the shuttle, or to take the Commuter Rail, which is fare-free between Braintree, Quincy Center, JFK/UMass and South Station that weekend.
- The Green Line closure ends the weekend before. From November 7 to 15, no Green Line trains run between North Station and Kenmore, with shuttle buses instead. That work ends before game day.
Plans can change, and the MBTA often posts weekend work closer to the date. Check MBTA this weekend in the days before the game.
After the game
- Kenmore will be crowded. Expect a wait to get into the station right after the game. Any train from the Park Street & North platform goes back downtown. If you pay with a CharlieCard or CharlieTicket, load enough for the ride home before you go: the MBTA says lines can get long after events.
- Or walk to another station. It can be easier to board at Fenway station on the D branch, about 12 minutes away, where trains toward downtown come about every 10 minutes in the evening. Hynes Convention Center is about 13 minutes away, but it has no step-free access.
- Back to Harvard Square by bus. Bus 1 toward Harvard stops at Massachusetts Ave @ Newbury St, about a 12-minute walk from the park. On Saturdays it comes about every 9 minutes.
- Going on to North Station or the airport? See Fenway Park to North Station and Fenway Park to Logan Airport.
Commuter Rail from Lansdowne after the game, Saturday, November 21:
| Leaves Lansdowne | To | Arrives |
|---|---|---|
| 6:33 pm | South Station, via Back Bay | 6:47 pm |
| 6:56 pm | Worcester, via Framingham | 8:23 pm |
| 8:14 pm | South Station, via Back Bay | 8:28 pm |
| 9:11 pm | Worcester, via Framingham | 10:33 pm |
| 10:29 pm | South Station, via Back Bay | 10:43 pm |
| 11:26 pm | Worcester, via Framingham | 12:48 am |
| 12:44 am | South Station, via Back Bay | 12:58 am |
The 6:56 pm and 9:11 pm trains to Worcester reach Framingham at 7:41 pm and 9:53 pm. The 12:44 am is the last train to Boston that night, and the 11:26 pm the last one west.
Late at night. The subway runs about an hour later on Friday and Saturday nights. Early Sunday morning, the last Green Line trains leave Kenmore toward downtown between 1:36 am and 1:46 am. To change to the Red Line at Park Street for South Station or Harvard, leave Kenmore by 1:17 am. For every line, see When does the T stop running?
Parking and driving
- Very little parking. Harvard says parking will be extremely limited in and around Fenway Park, and to arrive early if you drive. The MBTA doesn't recommend driving to Fenway because of traffic and parking restrictions in the neighborhood.
- Don't park in resident-only spaces. The Red Sox say fines for parking in resident-only spots during Fenway Park events start at $100, and cars may be towed.
- Garages. The Red Sox's parking page lists garages and lots around the park by the direction you're coming from, and links to SpotHero to reserve a spot ahead.
- Traffic. The Red Sox say backups on local streets usually start about an hour before a game, especially on Brookline Ave, Beacon St and Commonwealth Ave, in Kenmore Square and on Storrow Drive.
- Accessible parking. Per the Red Sox, a few accessible spaces are on Jersey St near Gate D, Ipswich St near Gate B and Overland St near Gate A, first come, first served.
Park and ride from Riverside
The MBTA suggests parking at a T station and riding in. Coming from the west, the Red Sox list Riverside station in Newton:
- Riverside's lot, at 367 Grove St, has 935 spaces and costs $3 a day on weekends. Pay with the PayByPhone app, or get a bill in the mail with a $1 fee.
- From Riverside, take a Green Line D train to Fenway station, about 28-29 minutes, then walk about 12 minutes. On Saturdays, trains leave about every 9 minutes.
- Going back, D trains leave Fenway toward Riverside about every 10 minutes in the evening. The last one leaves at 2:16 am.
The Red Sox list other park-and-ride stations by direction on their getting to Fenway Park page. Coming from Worcester or Framingham? Framingham/Worcester Line trains run straight to Lansdowne. See Boston to Worcester by train.
What it costs
- Subway. $2.40 one way. That covers the Red Line and the change to the Green Line at Park Street. Tap a contactless card or phone at the gate, or use a CharlieCard or CharlieTicket.
- Bus. $1.70 one way.
- Commuter Rail to Lansdowne. $2.40 one way from South Station or Back Bay, since all three are in Zone 1A. Tap-to-pay doesn't work on the Commuter Rail, so use the mTicket app or a fare machine. Paying the conductor can add a $3 fee when you board at a station that sells tickets.
- Weekend pass. On Saturdays and Sundays, a $10 Commuter Rail Weekend Pass covers unlimited rides on every line. Buy it in the mTicket app, on board or at a ticket window. Fare machines don't sell it.
- Kids. Children 11 and under ride the MBTA free.
- Amtrak. Fares vary by train and date, so check amtrak.com.
